Who We Help
Painful, Heavy or Irregular Periods
If your period is stopping you from living your life – cancelling plans, missing work or not exercising then it’s time to find out what’s really going on
“I used to plan my whole month around my period, now I don’t even know it’s coming”
Yes periods are part of being a women, but you shouldn't have to suffer
Your period is a reflection of what is going on internally, when something’s off it’s worth exploring why… Cramps, clotting, severe mood swings and irregular cycles are all messages from your hormones that something’s off.
How Naturopathy Supports Hormone Balance Naturally
Throughout our consult I will ask targeted questions to understand the root cause of your symptoms so we can get you on the road to stress free cycles.
Together we will look at:
Nutrition and Lifestyle
Herbs and Supplements
Functional Testing
Mission and Vision
Our vision is to create a space where you feel confident in your body and connected to your health journey. Together, we’ll co-create a personalised plan that supports balance, resilience, and long-term vitality — a plan rooted in sustainable habits, practical strategies, and evidence-based guidance, not quick fixes.
Our Approach
We take a holistic, client-centred approach that sees you as a whole person — not just a list of symptoms. Your journey is unique, and so is your care. Through thorough consultations, functional testing (where appropriate), and a deep understanding of your story, we uncover the root causes of imbalance.
Common causes of painful or irregular cycles
- Endometriosis, adenomyosis or PCOS
- Hormonal imbalance (estrogen, progesterone)
- Excess inflammation and prostaglandin release
- Thyroid issues or stress-related hormone disruption
- Nutrient deficiencies (iron, magnesium, zinc, B vitamins)
You don’t have to self-diagnose — part of my role as a naturopath is to help uncover what’s driving your symptoms and support your body to restore balance.
Hormonal Balance
Naturopathic care looks beyond symptom management and works to re-establish equilibrium in the body. Together we will come up with a plan to address any underlying cause and help you re-establish trust with your body and your cycle.
If you’ve been told that painful or heavy periods are “just part of being a woman,” please know — they’re not.
Your cycle is meant to be a reflection of balance, not a source of stress.
What To Expect From Your Appointment
Your first consultation is all about understanding you — your symptoms, lifestyle, and health goals — so we can create a personalised plan that works for your hormones and overall wellbeing.
-
Comprehensive health review: We’ll go over your medical history, current symptoms, diet, lifestyle, stress levels, sleep, and medications or supplements.
-
Investigations: I may recommend blood tests, stool testing or extra hormone testing to pinpoint root causes. Tests are at the discretion of the client and will only be recommended in certain clinical presentations.
-
Personalised recommendations: These could include dietary adjustments, targeted supplements, lifestyle strategies, or herbal medicine to support your body and menstrual cycle.
-
Follow-up plan: We’ll set realistic goals, track progress and adjust your plan as needed to ensure sustainable results. It’s normal to experience small changes quickly, however, it can take up to 3 months to change the pattern of your cycles and create new hormone habits.
In order to get the most accurate data around your hormones it is recommended that you perform any hormone blood tests on day 3 of your cycle (day 3 of your bleed). This way we can easily track fluctuations and have a baseline of where they should be sitting.
